Empire will have a special section in their next magazine featuring an interview with the film’s director Dave Filoni and Star Wars creator George Lucas, plus a whole bunch of brand new images from the film.

A new trailer for the upcoming theatrical release of the new animated Star Wars movie has been posted on Movieweb.com. The movie uses 3D animation to create a look very similar to the 2D animated Clone Wars series from 2003.

It seems to me that George Lucas was doing a largely computer generated movie anyway with Revenge Of The Sith. If you watch this trailer, the space battles between this movie and the last Star Wars movie look very similar. How long will it be until George Lucas does 100% CGI Star Wars movies made to simulate real actors instead of cartoons? The Clone Wars hits theaters August 15, 2008.
