Tarantino’s ‘Inglorious Bastards’ In Pre-Production?

After several years of teasing us about Inglorious Bastards, and claiming that it would start production “any time” it looks as if Tarantino has finally begun work on the WWII film.

Tarantino was supposed to make an appearance in Spain for the Rolling Roadshow screenings of the Sergio Leone films, but has pulled out of that event, as well as a few others. The official word is “He has cleared all appearances to begin preproduction on his new feature, Inglorious Bastards.”

Inglorious Bastards is supposed to be about a group of soldiers who are sent on some dangerous mission so that they can escape the firing squad.

If his word can be trusted, Inglorious Bastards should make its appearance at Cannes ‘09.

Which of Tarantino’s cancelled projects would you most like to see come to fruition?
