Forbidden Kingdom, the Jet-Li/Chan, kung-fu/comedy, Lionsgate/Weinstein, film/movie…took in just over $7.6 million at its 3,153 theaters to come in #1. Forgetting Sarah Marshall, the latest Apatow comedy, was widely expected to be the champion, but came in second with a measly $5.9. The take was higher then Drillbit Taylor, and Walk Hard, but lower then Superbad, and Knocked Up.
So what do you think? Which was the better film?
Update: The Forbidden Kingdom’s total take was $20.9 million while Forgetting Sarah Marshall was $17.3 million. That’s a little better.
