According to Hollywood Reporter, Universal has signed a contract with Hasbro to produce films based on Hasbro’s brands, which include; Candyland, Monopoly, Ouija, and Clue.

I have to admit that I was slightly surprised at the announcement of a Cloverfield toy. To me, Cloverfield wasn’t the type of movie to be merchandised. I saw it as more then that. Anyways, Hasbro has announced that a replica of the Cloverfield Monster will be avaliable for $99 on their site.

According to Reuters, China has now banned “wronged spirits and violent ghosts, monsters, demons, and other inhuman portrayals, strange and supernatural storytelling for the sole purpose of seeking terror and horror,” in audio and video content in an attempt to improve the image of their country in preparation for this summer’s Olympics.
